View and Share Invoice Public URLs

The View Invoice Public URL option lets you generate a shareable link to an Invoice so Customers can view, and when applicable, pay the Invoice online without logging in. Use this option when you need to quickly share an Invoice link with a Customer, for example, in a support email or direct message, without sending an Invoice email from Advanced Billing.

Any user who can view invoices in Advanced Billing can open the public URL. Access to configure the expiration time is limited to site admins, owners, or support roles.

How to view or copy the public URL

  1. Open the invoice in Advanced Billing.
  2. Click More Options.
  3. Select View Invoice Public URL.
  4. From the pop-up:
    • Click the Link icon to open the link in a new browser tab;
    • Or, click the Clipboard icon to copy the URL to the clipboard.

What Customers see

The public link opens a customer-facing invoice page that shows invoice details and allows payment when the invoice is payable.

Security and sharing guidance

  • The public URL is accessible to anyone who has the link. Share it only with the intended recipient.
  • If the link expires, you can generate a fresh link from the invoice’s More Options menu.

Advanced Billing lets you configure how long public URLs remain valid:

  • Navigate to Settings > Invoices.
  • Locate Public URL Expiration Time.
  • Set the expiration in seconds.
    • Default: 60 days (5,184,000 seconds)
    • Minimum: 60 days
    • Maximum: 2 years (63,115,200 seconds)
