Custom Pricing allows you to define a price for a Product or Component that is specific to a Subscription. You define these prices during a Subscription action, such as updating pricing or quantity, and they do not appear in the Product Catalog.
Custom Pricing helps you manage sales-negotiated Subscriptions alongside self-service sign-up Subscriptions without expanding your Product Catalog unnecessarily. It also streamlines workflows by allowing you to define prices on demand.
Custom Pricing Usage
There are several ways to use Custom Pricing:
- Through the API
- Through the Salesforce integration*
- Through the HubSpot integration
- Through a Subscription page
- Through a combination of the above

Custom Pricing for Products
You can set Custom Pricing for Products using the following actions:
- Create Subscription
- Change Product
Custom Pricing for a Product includes similar configurable attributes as a Product Price Point, including name, price, interval, trial, setup fee, and expiration. Unlike a Product Price Point in the Product Catalog, Custom Pricing supports only one currency, the currency of the Subscription.
Maxio does not currently support Upgrade or Downgrade Migration to a Custom Price. You can perform an Upgrade or Downgrade Migration to a Price Point.
Custom Pricing for Components
You can set Custom Pricing for Components using the following actions:
- Update Price
- Component Allocation
Custom Pricing for a Component includes similar configurable attributes as a Component Price Point, including pricing scheme, unit price, price bracket start and end, and tax inclusive settings. Unlike a Component Price Point in the Product Catalog, Custom Pricing supports only the Subscription currency.
