By default, Advanced Billing enables the built-in test gateway so you can explore the product before connecting a live payment gateway. Find the setup guide for your specific gateway below, and use the test gateway to try transactions before you go live.
From the left navigation panel, go to Payments > Additional Payment Gateways and locate your specific gateway.
You can use the test gateway within your test site to try out transactions without using real or fake credit card numbers.
To simulate a successful transaction, enter the card number as 1, or any number ending in 1, for example 4111 1111 1111 1111.
To simulate a declined transaction, enter the card number as 2, or any number ending in 2, for example 4242 4242 4242 4242.
To simulate a payment gateway error, enter the card number as 3, or any number ending in 3, for example 4012 0000 3333 0323.
If you run into an issue, see Payments FAQs for answers to common questions.
To test your gateway connection before going live, see Select a Gateway.
If your firewall or payment gateway requires an IP allowlist, see Find Current IP Addresses.
For help resolving a specific gateway error, see Find Gateway Error Documentation.
