Advanced Revenue is a Maxio feature that lets you re-allocate revenue across your contract population using flexible, fixed, and dynamic formulas.
A RevenueBook controls how Advanced Revenue applies that reallocation across your contract portfolio. Each RevenueBook holds its own standalone selling price (SSP) list, and you can create one or multiple RevenueBooks to apply different configurations to different parts of your contracts.
We use the following acronyms to refer to specific terms when working with the Advanced Revenue feature:
A contract can have multiple RevenueBooks. The Main Revenue Book dictates which RevenueBook Maxio shows by default for that contract. See Create and Configure RevenueBooks for creating a RevenueBook and setting a contract's Main Revenue Book.
Each RevenueBook allocates using its own SSP list. See Create and Manage SSP Lists for setting one up, and SSP List Fields Reference for what each field controls.
When a RevenueBook can't allocate a contract, Maxio flags it for review. See Review and Resolve Revenue Issues.
For a full index of worked examples showing how each allocation method behaves in practice, see Advanced Revenue Allocation Scenarios.
To confirm RevenueBooks meets your revenue recognition requirements before adopting it, see Determine if RevenueBooks Meets Your ASC 606 Requirements.
