Maxio Metering

Maxio Metering turns customer activity, such as API calls, data transferred, or documents processed, into usage-based charges on invoices. Use it when your pricing depends on something customers do, not just what plan they're on.

Metering needs to be turned on for your site

Metering is available for US-hosted Advanced Billing sites and must be activated by Maxio. Contact your Customer Success Manager or Maxio Support to request it before you start setup. Get Started with Maxio Metering

How the pieces fit together

Usage moves through three stages: the events you send, how Maxio calculates usage from them, and how that usage becomes a charge.

What you send

StreamsDefine the shape of the events you send and which subscription each belongs to.EventsIndividual records of customer activity, checked against the stream's structure.

How usage is calculated
