Delete a One-Time Prepaid Purchase

Applies to: Advanced Billing

··

Last updated on Sep 30, 2026

Remove a one-time prepaid purchase that was entered by mistake, directly from the Purchase Ledger tab on a Product's history page.

Warning: Deleting a purchase can't be undone. It removes the purchase's units from the ledger, and the Customer's original charge for those units isn't credited or refunded.

Check that you can delete the purchase

You can delete a purchase if you're an admin or have Customer Support access for the site.

The Delete Purchase option is available only for a purchase that meets all of the following:

  • It's a one-time purchase, not a recurring allocation.
  • None of its units have been used yet.
  • It hasn't expired.

A row that doesn't meet these conditions, or that you don't have access to delete, shows a disabled actions menu instead.

Delete the purchase

Deletion happens from the actions menu on the purchase's row in the Purchase Ledger tab.

To delete a purchase

  1. Open the Product's history page and select the Purchase Ledger tab. See Track Product Usage for a Subscription for how to open it.
  2. Find the purchase's row and click its actions menu (the three-dot icon).
  3. Select Delete Purchase.
  4. In the Delete Purchase dialog, click Delete.

What to expect

After you click Delete, the page reloads on the Purchase Ledger tab, at the same page of the ledger. If you deleted the last row on a page, it opens the previous page. The purchase no longer appears in the ledger.

If the deletion fails, the dialog stays open and shows the error message. The Delete button is disabled until you close the dialog. Click Close, then try again.

To review a Product's purchases and usage before you delete one, see Track Product Usage for a Subscription.

To add a prepaid purchase instead, see Report Product Usage and Allocations.
