BPOINT Gateway Setup Guide

Connect BPOINT to Advanced Billing to process credit card transactions through BPOINT's payment platform.

Important: BPOINT is a deprecated gateway. New Advanced Billing sites can't select BPOINT. This guide is for sites that already had BPOINT configured before deprecation.

Username, password, merchant number, and pre-auth facility credentials

Advanced Billing requires the following to communicate with your BPOINT account:

• Username
• Password
• Merchant Number
• Pre-auth Facility Username
• Pre-auth Facility Password
• Pre-auth Facility Merchant Number

To begin using the BPOINT API, you need a BPOINT Checkout or Enterprise facility. An Administrator or Manager (T1) user needs to create an API user.

To create an API user

1. Log in to the Merchant Back Office.
2. Go to Admin > User Management.
3. Click Add New User.
4. Enter the User Name and Email Address.
5. Select the User Permission API.
6. Enter your Administrator or Manager (T1) user's password.
7. Click Create User.

Requirements

BPOINT requires separate facilities for normal purchase transactions and pre-auth transactions. Since Advanced Billing uses both, you need both facilities configured for your account by BPOINT. Generate API user credentials for both facilities and enter them in Advanced Billing accordingly.
