Control the default settings for your Public Pages to ensure consistent branding, security, and customer experience across all products. Configure layout versions, page titles, logos, legal links, CAPTCHA, and optional custom CSS or JavaScript in one place. These settings apply to all new public pages by default, with the flexibility to override them on individual pages when needed.
There are default settings for all public pages AND individual page settings. This is different from the individual Public Signup Page settings.
You may change individual settings on Public Pages, without affecting the default settings. Some of these settings also apply to Receipt Pages and Self-Service Pages.
If you need information on how to use the Public Pages to sell subscriptions, please see the our example implementation.
There are two ways of customizing your Public Signup Pages:
- You can either edit the default Settings that apply to all Public Pages at once. No additional customization is required for each Public Signup Page.
- Edit individual Public Signup Page settings by overriding the default settings.

| Custom CSS and JavaScript |
This feature is only available on paid accounts and must be enabled by Maxio. If custom CSS and JavaScript are enabled for your account, the Public Page Default Settings will display input fields for both layout versions. Content in the CSS field will be included at the top of the page in a stylesheet tag. Custom JavaScript will be included at the bottom of the page and wrapped in a script tag. We’ve put together a guide for using your own Customer Javascript and CSS for the Modern and for Classic Public Pages. |
| Customer Service Contact Information | Enter the Customer Service information your customers will see on your Public Sign-up Pages for support with goods abd services. |
| Enable 'Powered by Maxio' Badge | If enabled, the "Powered by Maxio" logo, showing that Maxio powers your payments and links to extra information about security for your customers. |
| Enable Security Question (CAPTCHA) |
A CAPTCHA is a challenge-response test that is used to verify that the Public Page (either Public Sign-up or Offer Sign-up) is being submitted by a human and not a computer. This is helpful in preventing hackers from using the Public Page for malicious reasons. It is highly recommended that you enable this option. If enabled, reCAPTCHA will be applied to your page and, depending on the configuration, may appear as a visible challenge or run in the background without user interaction. |
