Forte (Beta) Gateway Setup Guide

Connect Forte to Advanced Billing to process credit card and eCheck transactions in USD and CAD. The Forte gateway integration is currently in beta.

Organization ID, location ID, access ID, and secure key

• Organization ID: Found in the upper left corner of the Forte online portal.
• Location ID: Go to Locations in the left-hand menu and choose one from the list.
• Access ID and Secure Key: Go to Developer > API Credentials in the left-hand menu, then generate new credentials. Enter a name for the credentials. We suggest including "Advanced Billing" in the name. Copy the Secure Key immediately, since it's only displayed once.

Currencies and merchant location

Advanced Billing supports Forte for merchant accounts in the United States and Canada, processing credit card and eCheck transactions in USD and CAD.

Account updater (beta)

Support for the Forte gateway Account Updater is currently in beta. To enable this feature, contact support@maxio.com to request access for your site.

Review Forte's Using Account Updater documentation. Forte must enable the feature in your account before Advanced Billing can process the updates. If you have historical data in your Forte account, you may want to exclude some records from the updater process. Advanced Billing can assist with this as a paid professional service if needed.

Once enabled, Advanced Billing periodically checks for updated cards in your Forte account and syncs attributes such as the masked card number and expiration date. If the account is closed, Advanced Billing disables the payment profile and deletes the record from Forte.
