Item Name Mismatch appears in the Attention Needed and Status panels of your QuickBooks integration page when one or more Items have a different name in Maxio Core than they do in QuickBooks. This happens because the Item's Maxio Core name and its QuickBooks name are stored as two separate fields, and only one of them updates automatically when you make an edit.

The QuickBooks Item Name and the Maxio Core Item Name are two distinct fields on an Item, not two views of the same value. When a QuickBooks Item/Product first syncs to Maxio Core, Maxio Core creates the corresponding Item and sets its Item Name equal to the QuickBooks Item Name.
After that initial sync, the two fields no longer stay aligned automatically in both directions. Editing the Product/Item Name in QuickBooks syncs to Maxio Core and updates the QuickBooks Item Name that Maxio Core has stored for that Item. Editing the Item Name in Maxio Core, by contrast, does not change the QuickBooks Item Name stored in Maxio Core, and it does not change the Item Name in QuickBooks itself. Within Maxio Core, the field that stores the QuickBooks Item Name has no edit control of its own; it only changes when Maxio Core syncs updated data in from QuickBooks.
Given this one-directional sync, an Item's Maxio Core name can drift out of alignment with its QuickBooks name any time either name is edited independently. To minimize confusion, it's recommended that you use the same name for an Item in Maxio Core as you do in QuickBooks.
You can resolve every mismatched Item at once from the Issues tab, or correct a single record by hand.
Important: Matching every mismatched Item at once permanently overwrites the Maxio Core name with the QuickBooks name for every affected record. This action cannot be undone.
Correct every mismatched Item at once
Open the Issues tab on your QuickBooks integration page and select Match next to the Item Name Mismatch alert. This updates each mismatched Item's Maxio Core name to match its QuickBooks name.
Correct a single Item
Edit the Item in Maxio Core and update its Item Name to match the corresponding QuickBooks Item Name.
Whenever you rename an Item in QuickBooks or in Maxio Core, update the corresponding name in the other system too. Keeping the two names the same avoids confusion about which name is authoritative and prevents the alert from reappearing.
Items also have a similar two-field mismatch for their Active status, which you resolve the same way; for that alert, see Item's Active Setting Mismatch.
Customers have a comparable name mismatch condition between Maxio Core and QuickBooks; see Customer Name Mismatch with QuickBooks.
