Avalara ELR Integration Overview

Avalara ELR ensures that your invoices comply with regional and global e-Bill mandates. It automatically routes invoices and credit notes to the relevant tax authorities, ensuring your invoicing process complies with legal requirements. This helps you expand into international markets with fewer compliance risks.

Avalara ELR integrates with Maxio to automate the submission of invoices and credit notes across multiple jurisdictions. The integration evaluates each invoice against active mandate configurations and routes documents to Avalara for delivery in the correct invoice standard format (for example, UBL or BIS).

Customers using this integration can expect faster onboarding into new regions, reduced invoice rejections, and easier audit preparation.

Key capabilities

Here are a few of the main features that come with integrating with Avalara ELR.

• Automated compliance across jurisdictions: invoices and credit notes are automatically matched to regional requirements, such as Spain's FACe reporting, Spain's Verifactu invoicing requirements, Mexico's CFDI clearance, and Singapore's InvoiceNow clearance.
• Mandate management: activate, deactivate, or clone mandate configurations directly in Maxio, including in bulk across multiple mandates at once.
• Customizable mappings and rules: default invoice and credit note mappings are provided, but administrators can edit fields and define execution rules for country-specific compliance.
• Flexible sync scheduling: choose how often Maxio checks for new documents to submit: Manual, every 15 minutes, hourly, or nightly.
• Submission tracking: every submission is tracked from Maxio, including status, any tax authority response, and error details when a submission fails. See Using the Avalara ELR Integration.
• Data accuracy and auditability: Maxio serves as the central repository for invoice data. Mandate configurations and mappings ensure submitted documents are consistent with Avalara's requirements.
