Maxio Payments offers CAD settlements for Canadian-based merchants and AUD settlements for Australian-based merchants. During onboarding, Canadian merchants can select their preferred processing and settlement currency based on what works best for their business. Australian merchants settle in AUD.
CAD and AUD settlement requirements by legal entity
| Legal entity location | Available settlement currencies | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Canada | CAD or USD | A Canadian bank account that can receive deposits, and a Canadian-based legal entity. |
| Australia | AUD | An Australian bank account that can receive deposits, and an Australian-based legal entity. |
Once our team configures your account, Maxio Payments enables you to accept payments in 20 international currencies and automatically deposits all funds into your designated CAD or AUD account. Our team also sets up the necessary multi-currency balances and payout accounts within Adyen, so you're ready to handle global transactions.
For CAD/AUD settlements, Maxio calculates and settles platform fees in CAD/AUD and then converts them to USD for reporting purposes. This ensures consistency across your financial records. Maxio also fully supports CAD/AUD transactions for deposit reconciliation and dispute handling.
To include CAD or AUD settlement as part of your Maxio Payments configuration, notify your Payments Team member during the onboarding process.

If you're settling transactions in multiple currencies through separate Merchant IDs, see Set Up Multi-Currency Routing.
