This example creates a Term Subscription with a monthly-billed, 12-month Plan and a recurring Product, then syncs it to Maxio Core to see the resulting Transaction and draft Invoices.
You'll create:
Start by creating an annual Plan that bills monthly and has a 12-month Term Interval.
To create the Plan
Next, add a recurring, quantity-based Product that also bills monthly.
To create the Product
The Product's own billing interval isn't set at creation. Edit its price point afterward to set the Billing and Invoicing Interval to every 1 Month.
With the Plan and Product in place, create the Subscription following the same flow as Create a Subscription: select the Customer and payment details, then in the Items section select the Plan and add the Product you created.
The Term Setting step shows the Subscription Term range, based on the Plan's Term Interval.
A Term Subscription uses its Term Interval to generate Transactions up front, so syncing it produces both the Transaction and the Invoices for the full term at once. Those future Invoices are in draft mode.
To review the sync results
From Maxio Core, go to Advanced Billing, then select Sync Now.
Go to Customers Home.
If you created a new Customer, you'll see it on this list.
Open the Customer's page, then select the Transactions tab.
Open the Transaction.
The Order Date matches the Subscription's creation date, and every future Invoice number is prefixed with DRAFT-.
Select the Revenue tab.
The Scheduled Revenue covers the full term. Changes to the future Invoices or the Subscription update this schedule automatically.
