Advanced Billing renders invoices in English by default. With Multi-Lingual Invoices, you can supply your own translations so each customer sees their invoice in their own language, and refine those translations down to a specific region's dialect where it matters.
This feature requires a site on Relationship Invoicing with Multi-Lingual Invoices enabled. Configuring it requires the Setup permission.
Three pieces work together:
The locale on the customer is the input; the Languages you have defined are the available translations; the application order decides which one wins when more than one could apply.
You can create a standardized version of a language, such as a base German translation, and then layer region-specific overrides on top of it where a dialect differs.
This means you do not have to maintain a complete translation per region. Translate once into the base language, then override only the specific wording that differs in a given region — everything you do not override falls back to the base.
