Review, Filter, and Sort Sync Issues
Applies to: Maxio Core
Last updated on Oct 19, 2026
Each Maxio Core integration logs the records it could not sync to its own Sync Issues list. You can filter that list by date, sync step, or message text, and sort it by any of its columns, so you can answer questions such as when an error started, which step it affects, or which errors keep repeating, without downloading the full history first.
Open the list
To open a Sync Issues list, you need the Bookkeeping User or Admin User role. For what each role can do, see Understand User Roles and Access Controls.
The Sync Issues list works the same way for each of these integrations:
- NetSuite
- Sage Intacct
- QuickBooks
- Xero
- Rillet
- Advanced Billing
- HubSpot
- Salesforce
For NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Xero, Rillet, and Advanced Billing, the integration's home page links to its Sync Issues list from the Attention Needed panel, which shows a Sync Issues row whenever the integration has issues to review.
To open the Sync Issues list
- Go to the integration's home page.
- In the Attention Needed panel, click Sync Issues.
The list opens showing only recent issues, the ones logged since the integration's most recent sync. To see the integration's full history of sync issues, click Show Prior Issues. To return to recent issues, click Only Show Recent Issues.
On the Salesforce home page, the list appears on the Sync Issues tab, and it opens on the issues from the most recent Salesforce sync run. Filtering and sorting work the same way there.
On the HubSpot home page, the Sync Issues tab shows a summary table of the latest sync's issues, which you can't filter or sort. To filter and sort HubSpot sync issues, open the full list from the issue count for the latest sync.
Each row shows three columns:
- Date: when Maxio logged the issue.
- Step: the sync step that was running, for example a step that sends Invoices.
- Message: the error or warning the sync returned.
Filter the list
The filter bar above the list shows how many issues match, and lets you narrow the list using three filters.
To filter the Sync Issues list
- Click the filter icon (Select Filters) in the filter bar.
- Choose one or more of the following filters and set their values:
- Date: a custom Date Range with From and Through dates, or a relative range such as Last 30 Days or This Month.
- Step: one or more of the integration's sync steps. The list of steps is specific to each integration.
- Message: text to match in the issue message, using an operator such as Contains, Does Not Contain, Equal to, In, or Not In. Text matching ignores case.
- Click Apply.
For a full description of each date range and text operator, see Build Precise Searches Using List Filters.
Filters work in both recent and prior modes, and they stay applied when you move between pages of results or change the sort. If no issues match, the list shows No sync issues match the selected filters.
To remove your filters, click Clear Filters. Clearing filters removes only the Date, Step, and Message filters. If you are viewing recent issues, or issues from a single sync run, the list stays on that view.
Sort the list
You can sort the list by clicking any column heading.
To sort the Sync Issues list
- Click Date, Step, or Message to sort by that column in ascending order.
- Click the same heading again to sort in descending order.
The list sorts by Date, newest first, until you choose a different sort. Sorting by Step orders issues in the sequence the sync runs its steps, not alphabetically. Sorting by Message groups identical errors together, which makes repeating errors easy to spot.
Maxio remembers the sort you choose for each integration's list, and uses it the next time you open that list.
Download the filtered list
The Download menu exports the issues that match your current filters, in the order shown on screen. It isn't available while you are viewing only recent issues, so click Show Prior Issues first. It also isn't shown when no issues match your filters. You can choose one of the following options:
- Export All Columns - Download: downloads the issues as a CSV file.
- Export All Columns - Google Sheets: stores the issues in a Google Sheet.
For more about exports, see Export and Download Data.
