Recast Item MRR/ARR
Last updated on Aug 28, 2026
If you have jitter in your MRR and ARR values due to manual editing, importing, odd durations, or durations shorter than a year such as monthly, quarterly, or semiannual terms, you can reset the MRR and ARR for an Item's Transactions using Recast.
Recast requires Admin permissions.
WARNING: Recast permanently overwrites existing MRR and ARR values and there is no undo. Perform a backup first.
Before you start
- What Recast can change is driven by the Item's Generate MRR/ARR setting, so there is nothing to recast on an Item that does not generate MRR/ARR.
- Recast uses the MRR Tolerances table in its calculation.
- Recast respects the Transaction Lock Date. Only Transactions starting after the lock date are recast.
Recast an Item's MRR/ARR
- Go to Admin > Items and open the Item.
- From the Recast menu, select MRR/ARR.
- Review the list of affected Transactions. It shows every Transaction whose MRR or ARR would change if you proceed, so a Transaction already holding the correct value is not listed. The last four columns display the existing MRR and ARR alongside the new values.
- Select Proceed.
Both Local and Home MRR and ARR are recalculated.
- Additional Item Actions covers Bulk Edit, Clone, and Edit Accounts. Note that Bulk Edit does not support recasting.
